Privacy Statement

Effective August 26, 2026 · Applies to the PocketTrio app for iPhone and iPad

PocketTrio is built so that your playing, your practice, and your music stay yours. The short version: the app collects no personal data, has no accounts, no ads, and no third-party trackers. The details follow.

Microphone

PocketTrio can listen to your instrument so the band reacts to what you play. When the microphone is on:

• Audio is analyzed live, entirely on your device.
• Audio is never recorded, never stored, and never transmitted anywhere.
• The microphone is used only while the app is open and listening is enabled; you can turn it off at any time, and the app works fully without it.

Your data stays on your device

Chord charts you create or import, and the settings for each tune (band, tempo, energy, voicings), are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to us — we have no servers that receive them and no way to see them. Deleting the app deletes this data.

No accounts, no tracking

• There is no sign-up or login.
• The app contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDKs.
• We do not collect, sell, or share any personal information — we never receive it in the first place.

Importing charts from the web

If you use the built-in chart search or open a chart link, the app fetches that page from the website you chose, like a web browser would. Those requests go directly to the site hosting the chart and are subject to that site's own terms and privacy practices. PocketTrio adds no identifying information to these requests.

Children

PocketTrio does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this statement

If a future version of the app changes any of the above — for example, an optional cloud-sync feature — this statement will be updated first, and the effective date above will change. Material changes will be called out in the App Store release notes.
